The Municipality of Anogeia, including the settlement of Sissarchon, hosts places of great historical value and natural beauty as well as exceptional cultural assets since the Minoan Period. The Municipality of Anogeia is predominantly a mountainous municipality, as it takes up the central part of Psiloritis.
The municipality is bounded to the north by the border with the Municipality of Kouloukonas, to the east by the border with the Municipalities of Tylissos and Kroussonas, to the south with the border with the Municipalities of Zaros and Timbaki and to the west by the border with the Municipality of Kouritos and the community of Zoniana. Seat of the Municipality is the historical town of Anogeia. The total area of the Municipality is 102.632 hectares, which are largely characterized as woodlands.
